Getting Started with Trail Riding
Trail riding is different from riding a motocross track or cruising open terrain. Conditions constantly change, visibility can be limited, and riders need to manage rocks, roots, mud, hills, water crossings, other riders, and unexpected obstacles.
New riders should start on terrain that matches their ability, ride with experienced people when possible, learn the trail markings, and make sure they are riding somewhere legally permitted. A slower, controlled first ride usually teaches more than trying to keep up with faster riders.
What advice would you give someone before their first real trail ride?
