Trail Etiquette

Trail etiquette affects everyone who uses and maintains the trail system. Stay on designated routes, respect closures, avoid unnecessary trail damage, slow down around other users, and give riders ahead of you enough room.

When passing, do it safely and predictably. When encountering hikers, landowners, equestrians, bicycles, or other trail users, your behavior can influence how the entire riding community is viewed.

What trail etiquette rule should every rider follow without exception?
